About Leather:
Alpine Calf is a natural shrunken Calf Leather is made in Germany. The hides come from calf in the alp regions of Europe. These hides of sourced specifically for their high density and quality in the shrunken tanning process. The hides are well known for its beautiful distinct deep grain. The alpine calf has deeper grain due to the physical shrinking of the hide (instead of a print). Along the center of the hide (back area) it gets is distinct horizontal veining that you will see on some of the high end luxury backs, this is a key identifier of this leather. The leather is full grain and top grade. It is a nice balance of firm and supple. It is tanned and finished with a waterproof finish making it great for products that are exposed to the elements. This particular leather is popular for bags, clutches and luxury leather goods.
