If you listen to the Joe Rogan Experience, you know Joe has a very specific, well-documented stance: He dislikes alligators. He’s called them "dinosaurs that survived" and made it clear he has no love for the prehistoric predators.
Being a long-time listener and an artisan, I caught a detail on the show that immediately sparked an idea. Despite his vocal dislike, Joe has mentioned owning an alligator leather wallet. It’s the ultimate creative challenge: taking a material from an animal Joe famously views with calculated suspicion and turning it into a piece of uncompromising luxury.
The Inspiration
As a leather artisan specializing in exotic skins, I wanted to create something as a mark of respect for Joe’s work and the years of insight he’s shared through the JRE. I decided to lean into the irony. If he’s going to carry an alligator in his pocket, he might as well wear one around his waist.
